When Ansa can't help
Hand questions to a person: Ansa takes the visitor's details and emails you, and you reply from your inbox.
Last updated
Ansa answers from your knowledge. When it can't, or a visitor asks for a person, a quote or a callback, it can take their details and email you.
What happens
- Ansa asks the visitor for their email address (and phone number, if you've asked it to).
- It emails you their name, email, what they asked, and a short summary of the chat, with a link to the conversation.
- You reply from your own inbox. Replying to the email goes straight to the visitor.
Ansa tells the visitor you'll be in touch. Nothing comes back into the chat.
Turn it on
In Actions, switch on Hand-off and lead capture and choose the email address that should get the requests. New assistants on Starter, Pro and Business start with it on, sending to the workspace owner.
- Also ask for a phone number if you'd rather call people back.
- Take details for quotes and callbacks also catches "can you send me a quote?" and "call me".
Good to know
- Hand-off is included on Starter, Pro and Business.
- Each request shows in Conversations as Contact requested.
- Ansa only passes on details the visitor typed. It never makes up an email address or phone number.
- Try it from your Command centre: the email says it came from your test chat.
