Run several assistants

Run several Ansa assistants: give each brand, website or location its own knowledge, look, chat link and WhatsApp number, on one shared plan.

Last updated

Give each brand, branch or website its own assistant, so customers only get answers about the business they're asking.

How many assistants you can have

Free and Starter: 1 assistant. Pro: 3 assistants. Business: 10 assistants. Compare plans.

Add an assistant

Owners and admins can add assistants.

  1. Click the assistant name in the sidebar, then New assistant.
  2. Name it after the brand or branch.
  3. Add knowledge, try the test chat, then publish from Deploy.

Switch between assistants

Click the assistant name in the sidebar and pick another. Your changes apply to the one showing.

What each assistant has of its own

  • Name, welcome message, fallback reply, instructions, suggested questions and contact link
  • Knowledge (it never answers from another assistant's)
  • Colours, theme and badge
  • Publishing, allowed websites, website code and chat link
  • Conversations
  • One WhatsApp number, on Starter, Pro and Business. See Connect your WhatsApp number.
  • One Slack workspace (each Slack workspace connects to one assistant), on Business. See Connect Ansa to Slack.

What assistants share

One plan and one bill. Answers, knowledge size and document count are shared totals. Your team works on every assistant with the same role (Invite your team). Usage & plan shows each assistant's use.

Pause, rename or delete an assistant

In Settings, under Assistants:

  • Pause: it stops answering on your website, WhatsApp and Slack. Unpause any time.
  • Rename: changes the name visitors see.
  • Delete: removes its knowledge, files, conversations and settings, and disconnects WhatsApp and Slack. Type its name to confirm. This can't be undone. You must keep at least one assistant.

Extra assistants on a smaller plan

Nothing is deleted. Your oldest assistants keep answering and the rest are paused. Choose which stay active in Settings, under Assistants. Upgrade to turn them back on.
