Ansa says it doesn't know too often
Ansa says it doesn't know too often? Why it gives your “don’t know” message, and how to add the knowledge it needs to answer more questions.
Last updated
Ansa says it doesn't know rather than guess. If it happens a lot, your knowledge is missing something.
1. Answer the unanswered questions
In Conversations, choose Unanswered questions and click Add this answer on each. See Fill the gaps from unanswered questions.
2. Check Ansa could read your sources
In Knowledge, look for Failed, Needs attention or Couldn’t read. See Fix pages Ansa couldn't read. Common causes:
- Prices or menus shown as pictures. Add them as a text snippet.
- Scanned PDFs. See Upload documents.
- More pages than your plan reads.
3. Use your customers' words
If customers say "shipping" and your site says "dispatch", add a Q&A pair in their words.
4. Put facts in knowledge, not instructions
Short instructions in Appearance only set tone. Add facts like opening hours in Knowledge.
When "I don't know" is the right answer
For questions your business doesn't cover or off-topic ones (homework, other companies). Set your When Ansa doesn’t know message and Contact link in Appearance so customers can reach you.
