What we store

What Ansa stores about your business and your customers' chats, including WhatsApp messages, why we keep it, and how it is used to answer.

Last updated

We keep only what's needed to run your assistant. A summary is under How we handle your data in Settings.

What we store about you

  • Your email and name, so you can sign in.
  • Your business name and assistant settings.
  • Your plan and billing status. A secure payment processor handles your card; Ansa never sees the full number.

What we store from your knowledge

The pages, documents, snippets and Q&A pairs you add, including the original files.

What we store from customer conversations

  • Questions, answers, which sources were used, thumbs up or down, and the time.
  • Visitors don't sign up. A random ID in their browser keeps their messages together.
  • WhatsApp: messages and replies. You see the customer's number partly hidden (for example +234 •••• 5678). Ansa deletes the full number once it has replied and links later messages with a scrambled code. Messages pass through Meta under your own agreement with them. See Connect your WhatsApp number.
  • Slack: only messages that mention Ansa or are sent to it directly, and its replies. Ansa never sees your other Slack messages, doesn't keep Slack names, emails or photos, and deletes the sender's Slack ID once it has replied. See Connect Ansa to Slack.

How your data is used

  • To answer your customers. The question and the relevant parts of your knowledge go to an AI provider that isn't allowed to train on them.
  • To show you conversations and usage in your dashboard.
  • To enforce plan limits and keep the service secure.

Data is stored mainly in the European Union, kept separate from other businesses, and never sold. We don't use advertising trackers. Full details: Privacy Policy.

Don't add sensitive information, such as health or financial records, that customers wouldn't expect a public assistant to know.
