The chat bubble isn't showing

Ansa chat bubble not showing on your website? A quick checklist: published, answers left, code in the right place, allowed websites and caching.

Last updated

If the chat bubble isn't showing, check these in order.

1. Is your assistant published?

In Deploy, the switch should say Published.

2. Do you have answers left this month?

When your monthly answers run out, the bubble hides from new visitors. Check Usage & plan.

3. Is the code on the page, and is the site published?

  • Paste the whole line from Deploy, from <script to </script>, just before </body> or in your site's footer.
  • Save and publish your website. Most builders don't run the code in preview.
  • Check the page you're viewing uses that footer.

4. Is your website in the allowed list?

If you've listed websites under Where the bubble may appear in Deploy, check the exact address is there, including www. or a subdomain. See Limit which websites can show your chat.

5. Are you seeing an old copy of your site?

Reload while holding Shift, or use a private window. If you use a caching plugin or CDN, clear its cache.

6. Testing on CodePen or JSFiddle?

The chat won't open there if you've limited your allowed websites. Test on your real website.

7. Something else in the way?

  • Ad blockers can hide the bubble. Try a private window with extensions off.
  • Another chat widget may cover it. Add data-position="left" to your Ansa code to move it left.
